1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Giant Steps Immigration Services (“GSIS”, “GSIS Immigration”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing our website, scheduling a consultation, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs"). Please read them carefully before using our website or services. If you do not agree to these T&Cs, you must refrain from using our website or engaging our services.

2. About Our Services

2.1 Scope of Services

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Visa eligibility assessments and consultations.
  • Guidance on application processes and document preparation.
  • Assistance with appeals and waivers.
  • Strategic advice for complex immigration matters.

2.2 Limitations

While we strive for accuracy and professionalism, we cannot guarantee:

  • The approval of your visa application.
  • Processing times by the Department of Home Affairs or other relevant authorities.
  • Specific outcomes influenced by legislative or policy changes.
  • All information on this website is accurate and complete due to regular updates and amendments. You should always contact us to confirm its accuracy and make any decision before fully informed by us via email.

2.3 About Service Agreement

When you engage our services (excluding initial consultations), a formal Service Agreement is established between you (the "client") and us (the "service provider"). This agreement outlines the scope, responsibilities, and terms of our engagement. Each service agreement is different and you shou

2.3.1    Service Deliverables

You will receive:

a.   A comprehensive assessment of your situation.

b.   Written advice or documentation outlining the recommended steps.

c.   Representation or assistance as per the agreed scope of work.

2.3.2    Service Period

The Service Agreement remains in effect until the services are delivered or terminated as per the terms below.

2.3.3    Termination of Agreement

(1) Either party may terminate the Service Agreement with written notice.

(2) Termination by us may occur if:

  • You fail to provide necessary information or documents.
  • Outstanding payments are not resolved within the agreed timeframe.
  • A conflict of interest arises.

(3) Termination by you must be communicated in writing. In such cases, you remain liable for any completed work or expenses incurred up to the termination date.

2.3.4    Individualised and Detailed Agreements

Each Service Agreement is uniquely tailored to your specific requirements and circumstances. While these Terms and Conditions provide general guidance, the individual Service Agreement supersedes and governs all aspects of our engagement for the specific service. Clients must refer to their respective Service Agreement for detailed terms and obligations, as these documents are designed to address the nuances of their unique situations.

For any discrepancies or conflicts between this sub-clause 2.3 and the Service Agreement, the Service Agreement will prevail. Clients are strongly encouraged to refer to their individual Service Agreement for the most accurate and applicable terms.

3. Payments and Refunds

3.1 Service Fees

(1) Fees are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and exclude GST unless otherwise stated.
(2) All fees must be paid in full by the method we specify, before the provision of paid initial consultation.

3.2 Refund Policy

(1) Consultation fees are non-refundable.
(2) Refunds for other services or engagement will only be provided in exceptional circumstances, assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please refer to your service agreement.

3.3 Fee Credit

Fees for initial consultations may be credited toward subsequent professional services if outlined in your agreement with us.

4. Scheduling, Cancellation, and Rescheduling

4.1 Scheduling

Appointments must be made through our booking system. Scheduling does not guarantee a consultation. Consultations will only take place after payment has been made.

4.2 Cancellation

(1) For initial consultation, cancellations indicate that you agree to forfeit the consultation fee.
(2) For official engagement with a legal service agreement, cancellations and requests for refunds may be considered under exceptional circumstances.

4.3 Rescheduling

(1) Rescheduling is permitted with at least 24 hours' notice.
(2) A rebooking fee of AUD $50 applies for rescheduling within 48 hours of the scheduled consultation.

5. Client Obligations

To enable us to deliver quality services, you agree to:

(1) Provide true, accurate, and complete information and documentation.
(2) Respond promptly to requests for additional information or clarification.
(3) Notify us of any changes in your circumstances that may affect your application.

6. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we handle your personal data.

6.1 Use of Data

We collect and process your information solely for providing services. This may include sharing data with third parties, such as the Department of Home Affairs and relevant assessing authorities, when necessary.

6.2 Data Security

We employ industry-standard measures to protect your personal data.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any materials without our explicit written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Exclusions

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Delays or adverse outcomes caused by third-party agencies, including the Department of Home Affairs.
  • Consequential or indirect losses, such as lost opportunities or revenue.

8.2 Limitation

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

9. Governing Law

These T&Cs are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts in New South Wales.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for service disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, technical failures, or government actions.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these T&Cs at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Continued use of the website or our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
